Estimation of earthquake frequency content and its effect on dynamic analysis using continuous and discrete wavelet transform

In this paper, for the first time, combination of these two concepts is used earthquake acceleration wave. For purpose, eight earthquakes from four different locations in world have been selected. Initially, each filtered up to 5 stages using a discrete wavelet transform. Due close approximation frequency content wave original earthquake, approximate subsequent calculations. next stage, spectrum Fourier and diagram five dominant are plotted. Also, continuous transform, time-frequency curves main obtained transform investigated. The goal find best stage filter based on reduce computations over 80%. step, study examines time strong ground motion, structure response single degree freedom, dynamical timing freedom. By examining above parameters, best-performing transformation step inferred.
